The morning is a beautiful time of day. The sun has barely set and there’s that cool crispness in the air. It’s the perfect time to start your day with prayer.
There are many different types of prayers you can say or write, but one of my favorite morning prayers is Psalm 5:3-7 which reads “My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will lookup”.
It’s a beautiful way to start your day and connect with God. You can say it, or write it down and keep it by your bed to read every morning.
I also like to take some time for silence and just sit in the peace of the morning. I let my mind wander and just take in the beauty of the world around me. It’s a time to relax and rejuvenate before the day starts.
Morning Prayer After Waking Up
Here are 10 morning prayers to help you start your day:

Thank you, Lord, for another day that You have given me. Help me to live it in a way that is pleasing to You.
Help me to do Your will and not mine. Help me to remember that my strength comes from You, and I am never alone.
May You guide my thoughts, words, and actions as I begin this new chapter of life.
Give me the wisdom to persevere through the trials ahead as I seek to do Your will. I love You, my Lord and Savior. Amen.

Thank you for this day, O God. Help me to follow in Your ways today and please guide my thoughts, words, and actions.
Help me to be patient, understanding, and loving with those around me.
I ask that You protect me from anything or anyone that may harm me and allow me to come to You for refuge when I need it.

Heavenly Father, I come to you this morning giving thanks for another day to serve you.
If today is my last day on earth, help me to spend it serving others and not myself.
Every day is a gift from You and I want to use it to do what is best in Your eyes.
Help me Lord to forgive those that have wronged me, to be kind even when I’m not feeling it, and to love others the way that you have loved me.
