As Christians, our hearts and prayers should go out to those who are less fortunate than us. We can feel for the homeless – those struggling with the loss of a job or security, living on the streets with no family support, and trying to make it through every day.
God has commanded us to care for these people as He cares deeply for them too (Matthew 25:40).
Whether it’s prayer or lending a helping hand, we need to open our hearts and reach out in love.

Our heavenly Father, I pray for all of the homeless people in our community today.
We give thanks that they have a roof over their heads while they are struggling to get back on their feet and remain safe.
Please forgive any wrong decisions that may have lead them to this point and help them find their way back home.
Give them strength to overcome the likelihood of being forgotten in the shadows and bring hope into their lives.
Provide them with clear paths forward so they may see with open eyes new possibilities they can grasp onto.
Guide them so they can take hold of the helping hand and make imprints in dirt of opportunity which will eventually catapult them out of homelessness long-term.
Comfort and embrace each one as if the love never ends when the struggles seem hard for these individuals.

Send your angels to guard them, watch over them, and provide comfort and security in these trying times.

Dear Lord, I come to You today humbly requesting Your guidance and protection for all of the homeless who struggle in this world.
You taught us that their clothes should not divide us and that we are all in need of Your mercy.
Instill in their hearts courage and strength to carry on through such difficult times. Give them peace as they face the challenges of a day without shelter, food, or people to love them.
Provide resources to combat homelessness, so our brothers and sisters may have a safe place to rest and find comfort from any battle they are facing. Amen.

Wrap Your loving arms around them and give them hope in this time of hardship.

Take away their loneliness, Fear and Suffering and Protect them from any danger.
May they be wrapped up in Your arms so they can find solace, the courage to rebuild their lives and the strength to do it.
Please bless them abundantly with good health, food, clothing and a safe place to rest so that they may fulfill the destiny you have planned for them.

I ask that You provide them with resources, so they can find employment and regain stability.
