A person in the hospital is probably going through a lot of stress and anxiety, not just from their physical condition but also from being away from home and the people they love.
They might feel alone or that no one cares about them anymore. This can be especially hard if there have been marriage problems or if the person is struggling with their faith.
If you are praying for a sick person, start by asking God to send His angels to surround them and protect them from anything that might harm them. Ask Him to comfort the sick person in any way possible and let that person feel His love surrounding him or her.
You can also ask God to give the sick person peace about their condition, no matter what they are going through.
Pray that the sick person will know He or she is not alone in this journey and God is always with them.
Lastly, if you believe in the power of prayer, you can ask God to heal the person’s body as well.

What Psalm Can I Read For Healing?
Many people turn to the Psalms when they are in pain or struggling with something, physical or spiritual. The Psalms are a perfect source for how to pray for healing. There is a psalm that covers every kind of sickness and ailment, including cancer, addiction, heartache, depression, and more.
The most common one is Psalm 147.
“Praise the Lord! How good it is to sing praises to our God, how pleasant and fitting to praise him! The Lord builds up Jerusalem; he gathers the exiles of Israel. He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” Psalms 147:1-3
