Deployment is a difficult time for families. It is a time of uncertainty and anxiety.
You are worried about your son and whether or not he will come home safe.
Deployment is also a time of strength. Families become stronger during deployment. They learn to rely on each other more and they grow closer together.
During deployment, families also have to learn to adapt. Things will be different when your son is gone. You might have to take on new roles and responsibilities.
You might have to learn how to do things that you never thought you would have to do. But you will learn and you will grow.
How do you pray for deployed soldiers?
Here are some ideas:
- Pray for their safety. This is your number one priority. Pray that they will be protected from harm and that they will come home safely.
- Pray for their health. Deployment can be a very stressful time, both mentally and physically. Pray that they will stay healthy and be able to cope with the stress.
- Pray for their morale. Deployment can be lonely and frustrating. Pray that they will stay positive and be able to find ways to connect with other people.
- Pray for their families. Deployment is hard on families too. Pray that they will be able to stay strong and support each other.
Prayer is a powerful tool that can help you get through the deployment. It can give you strength, comfort, and hope. So don’t hesitate to reach out to God during this difficult time. He will be there for you and your family every step of the way.
Deployment prayer for my son
1)
Oh Lord, our God, Creator, and Sustainer of life, we entrust our son into Your care. Be with him during this deployment, we pray. You are his shield and buckler, the Defender of his cause. You are his sure footing in these uncertain times.
Give him courage in the face of danger. Grant him wisdom to make sound decisions. Bless him with good health, both physically and emotionally. Watch over him and keep him safe from all harm.
And should he need to make the ultimate sacrifice, we know that You will be with him always, even unto death. In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.
